Julie T., Dr. Nord’s Assistant

Julie is a native of Bloomington-Normal and an Illinois Wesleyan University graduate. She and her husband have been married since 1980 and have three children. She enjoys following her children’s activities, church involvements, reading, and occasional antiquing. Her background is in medical social work and medical assisting. She assists Dr. Nord with exams coordinating patient care between doctor and other clinical staff, informing them of doctor’s orders and patient needs. Julie and doctor pray with staff prior to the start of each office day, and often pray with patients as well. When warranted, Julie follows up with patients after exams, providing them with referral information and support. She often serves as a liaison between Dr. Nord and his patients keeping him abreast of their needs, concerns, and progress. In this way the patient receives additional support, the doctor is kept informed of patient needs and desires, and our vision of ministering to the patient needs as a whole, is met.
